Gunakan tahap demi tahap
berikut ini untuk menyelesaiakan soal-soal tentang usaha:
- Pilih sistem koordinat xy.
Jika benda sedang bergerak, lebih cocok jika arah gerak dipilih sebagai
salah satu arah koordinat. Dengan demikian untuk sebuah benda pada bidang
miring, kita bisa memilih salah satu sumbu koordinat sejajar dengan bidang
miring tersebut.
- Buat diagram benda bebas yang
menunjukkan semua gaya yang bekerja pada benda tersebut.
- Cari / tentukan gaya-gaya yang tidak
diketahui dengan menggunakan hukum Newton.
- Hitung usaha yang dilakukan oleh
sebuah gaya tertentu pada benda dengan menggunakan persamaan W =
F d cos θ. Perhatikan bahwa usaha yang dilakukan adalah negatif jika
sebuah gaya cenderung melawan perpindahan.
- Untuk menemukan usaha total yang dilakukan pada benda, (a) hitung usaha yang dilakukan oleh setiap gaya dana tambahkan hasilnya secara aljabar; atau (b) hitung gaya total pada benda, Ftotal dan kemudian gunakan hasilnya untuk menghitung usaha total yang dilakukan Wtotal = Ftotal d cos θ
Use the following step by step to resolve problem set aout work:
- Select the xy coordinate
system. If the object is moving, more suitable if the direction of motion
selected as one of the coordinate directions. Thus for an object on an
inclined plane, we can choose one of the coordinate axes parallel to the
inclined plane.
- Create a free-body diagram showing
all the forces acting on the object.
- Search / specify the force that are
unknown by using Newton's laws.
- Calculate the work done by a certain
force on objects by using the equation W = F d cos θ. Note that
these efforts are likely to be negative if a force against displacement.
- To find the total work done on the
object, (a) calculate the work done
by each force funds algebraically add the results; or (b) calculate the
net force on the object, Ftotal and then use the results to calculate the
total work done Wtotal = Ftotal
